Infatuation

I chew away his toffee coated exterior,

Then slowly,

Peel away his ego,

I devour the apple of my eye,

One bite at a time,

Salivating over the juicy flesh,

With an insatiable thirst but,

When I reach his core,

I am disappointed,

I discard him,

Without hesitation.
