Ritual

Ink, stains pages,

That reach to touch you,

I find you hidden between the lines,

Unwritten,

Unspoken.

Every swirl of every letter,

As my pen glides,

Considers the possible outcomes,

Of impossible dreams.

I perform this ritual daily,

The waste paper bin,

Ever willing,

Swallows my empty words.
